On April 21st, 2008 DEMSA members attended a meeting where POAM officials basically promised the moon as far as telling the members whatever they needed to hear to get them on board.

Now after POAM has been the Collective Bargaining Agent for over a year, with no contract, Cases that were outstanding when they started still not brought to arbitration, and all the internal infighting that they have caused, it is obvious that they have no intention of ever living up to their promises.

This meeting lasted close to 2 hours. The audio recording from it originally spanned 2 CDs.

This is the latest MERC decision in the on-gong epic battle of unions between DEMSA & PAOM over the right to represent the members City of Detroits EMS division.
